Welcome to Mid-State Music Teachers Association (MSMTA)
Affiliated with Florida State Music Teachers Association (FSMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)


MSMTA Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to pursuing musical excellence by music teachers and their students in the Tampa area from Hillsborough County through the collaboration of musical workshops, performances, and competitive events.

We have regular meetings on Friday at 11:00 followed by a program at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Rd, Temple Terrace, FL. Find our schedule of meetings here.

We warmly welcome you to join us for musical enrichment, fellowship, and inspiration. Please plan to join us for lunch following each meeting and workshop.

Mission Statement

 PURPOSES AND POWERS

from paragraph 1.2 bylaws

The Corporation’s Primary functions shall be the:

(i)  educational and professional development of its members and their students;

(ii)  the advancement of musical knowledge and education through workshops and discussions;

(iii)  the encouragement of teachers to continually strive for higher standards of  teaching through the use of effective and current methods and materials;

(iv)  the cultivation of fraternal relationships among members of the music teaching profession; and the provision of opportunities for student participation in teaching workshops and increased interaction between students and music teachers.
